Ferdown’s industrial activity in the world of Feather was born in the 80’s, when it was decided to incorporate to the traditional product lines, several items filled with Feather and Down.
It was in 1993 when Ferdown Textil S.L. was established with the objective of dedicating itself exclusively to the manufacture of down and feather comforters and pillows.
Since then, the company has experienced continuous growth, consolidating its position as a leading manufacturer in the sector in Spain, with a growing presence in the international market.
At the beginning of the new millennium, it was decided to create the exclusive GOBI brand to position our products in the national market, and since then we have remained as a reference for high quality down comforters and pillows.
We currently have facilities of more than 3,500 m2 located in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), where, in addition to the central offices and the manufacturing and storage plants, we have a laboratory for the control of raw materials, a training room and our own workshop where the projects developed by our R+D+i department are carried out. As a result, we have a production capacity of more than 300,000 units per year.
One of the bases of the company’s work philosophy has undoubtedly been its commitment to the application of the most advanced manufacturing technology. In this respect, thanks to the production system with air transport and fully automated filling stations, Ferdown can monitor both the status of customer orders and the actual workload of the machines in real time at all times. All this favors agility and speed in customer service, which has been one of the reasons for the company’s success.

Quality
All our products are manufactured in our facilities in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid).
As a member of the International Pen Association, we respect and fulfill our commitments to international regulations, as well as the demanding European regulations EN12934, EN1885, EN1161, EN12130, EN1184.
Our traceability system, together with that of our pen suppliers, guarantees complete control of the pen from its origin until it reaches our customers.
The feather we use is treated and washed in plants that save at least 15% over the usual procedures and also guarantee the recycling of the water used.
All our products are fully guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 10 years.
The Oeko-Tex certification guarantees the consumer that there are no substances harmful to health in any of the materials from which our products are made.

The energy used in our manufacturing processes is of 100% renewable origin, contributing to sustainable production.
We are not only concerned about selecting the best raw material to obtain the best product, in Ferdown we take care of every moment of the production process ensuring a strict control, from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing process, in order to guarantee unique quality products.
We care about the environment. The feather is a 100% biodegradable material. Once discarded by the consumer, the plume can be used as fertilizer.
We guarantee our commitment to animal welfare as a fundamental issue when establishing relationships with our pen suppliers.
Products filled with feather and down are suitable for those allergic to dust mites and are recommended for people suffering from asthma.
